What is AWS Certification?

The American Welding Society (AWS) gives certifications to welders who have passed one of their welding tests. AWS testing facilities test welders to determine if they have enough expertise to become valuable, trustworthy professionals in the industry who will help employers accomplish their goals.

What Are the Benefits of AWS Certification?

AWS certification makes you a more marketable job candidate when you’re hunting for welding job opportunities. With this certification in your list of qualifications, you stand out from all the other welders who are trying out for the same jobs you’re applying to.

Employers hire welders with AWS certification so that they can adhere to national standards of quality,
performance and safety. AWS-certified welders also reduce liability and cut down on costs.i

When you get certified by an AWS Accredited Test Facility (ATF), you’re sending a signal to employers that you have the skills necessary to meet industry and employer standards. Tulsa Welding School’s Jacksonville campus is now an ATF.
