Where Is Tulsa Welding School?
TWS has campuses in three states:
Our original Tulsa location has provided professional welding training to students since 1949. TWS expanded to Florida in 2001 and Texas in 2014.
What Can You Learn at Tulsa Welding School?
Our available programs depend on the campus location you choose:
Tulsa Campus
- Professional Welder: This 7-month program is designed to set you up for a world of entry-level welding job opportunities in the aerospace, infrastructure, automotive and aviation industries.
- Associate of Occupational Studies in Welding Technology: In 14 months, you can take your professional welding career to the next level with a welding degree.
Jacksonville Campus
- Professional Welder: Covers the basic principles and techniques of professional welding in 7 months.
- Electro-Mechanical Technologies: In 9 months, you’ll learn the principles of electrical and mechanical technology, including HVAC/R applications.
- Professional Welder with Pipefitting: This 10-month program covers fundamental welding and pipefitting concepts and practices.
- Refrigeration Technologies: This hands-on, 7-month program covers HVAC/R technology and can prepare students for entry-level HVAC/R technician positions.
- Electrical Applications: Students receive 7 months of hands-on training in an environment realistic to the industry. Instruction is provided in the fundamentals of electricity and its applications.
When you’ve finished your welding program, you can take the American Welding Society (AWS) certification test in our Accredited Test Facility (ATF) in Jacksonville. Having this credential can not only affirm the skills you’ve learned, but it can also open the door for additional job opportunities because some employers require welding certifications.*
Houston Campus
Welding Specialist: This 7-month program is designed to prepare you for entry level jobs in thin alloy, pipeline and structural welding.
- Welding Specialist with Pipefitting: In 9.5 months, this program covers the basics of welding and advanced pipefitting techniques.
- Professional Welder: This 7-month program is designed to prepare you for entry level jobs in thin alloy, pipeline and structural welding.
- Refrigeration Technologies: Instruction and hands-on training in the fundamentals of HVAC/R is provided during this 7-month program.
How Much Does Tulsa Welding School Cost?
How much welding school costs can depend on the program you choose and other factors like how much financial aid you’re eligible to receive.
TWS typically charges a one-time registration fee, as well as tuition, lab fees and the cost of accident insurance. You’ll also need to purchase all course materials and a gear package for each program. These supplies are designed to set you up for success and give you solid resources that you can use long after you finish your last class.

Is Tulsa Welding School Accredited?
Yes. All three of TWS’ campuses are accredited through the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Our Jacksonville campus’ testing facility has been accredited through the AWS.
