During the Welding Specialist program at Tulsa Welding School, you learn the proper techniques for welding in different positions and with industry standard equipment. You learn about MIG, TIG, FCAW, and GMAW welding and appropriate safety protocols and gear that keep you safe while on the job.
The program starts with a class in welding fundamentals. This class teaches you plasma cutting, carbon arc gouging procedures, the arc welding process, and the basic layout of construction drawings. The next class focuses on GMAW and FCAW welding processes. Then, you will be introduced to structural and basic pipe welding, finishing with advanced pipe welding training. The program ends with a welding capstone to apply the skills you learned in the previous courses while transitioning from the classroom to an apprenticeship.
Hands-on Experience
At Tulsa Welding School, you get plenty of hands-on experience in real-world scenarios and with virtual reality. OccuWeld1 is a great way to learn welding without making mistakes that can be catastrophic. With virtual reality, you get real world experience and work in a safe environment. Instructors guide you during in-person and virtual welding with direct feedback. You can ask questions and get instant feedback, so you learn the proper welding technique the first time.
