Take solace in knowing that there are other options to help fund your training in our Electrical Lineworker program - Several organizations offer financial aid to help students willing to enter into the brotherhood of lineworkers:

TWS Scholarship Requirements:

  • Before you can apply for a welding scholarship, you must meet all regular admissions requirements and be scheduled to start lineworker training.
  • You will be placed in a class or shift based on availability. A lineworker scholarship can’t be transferred to another program.
  • If you change your school start date, you could lose the scholarship.

Scholarships for Electrical Lineworker Students

 

International Lineman’s Rodeo Association Scholarship Program

The International Lineman’s Rodeo & Expo has been a staple event in the lineworker community for more than 40 years. The rodeo gathers lineworkers from all across the globe to compete in various competitions relating to the electric utility industry.

The ILRA offers a scholarship to children or friends of Journeyman Linemen that enroll at an accredited school and complete the program

Criteria for Applying:

  • Must be a son or daughter of a Journeyman Lineman, or recommended by a Journeyman Lineman.
  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent GED.
  • Applicant needs to submit a letter of recommendation from their high school advisor or equivalent GED advisor and a friend or relative.
  • Applicant needs to write a letter to the Scholarship Committee on why they should be selected to receive the scholarship including your financial need.
